CPCWHS1001 Work Safely in the Construction Industry Training Course

The white card unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm.

It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work. Course Curriculum

Requirements

  • Have the ability to read and write English
  • Contact us if you have any concerns about your level of language literacy or numeracy
  • Minimum 14 years of age.
    100 points of ID (as required by SafeWork NSW)
    Have USI or create one from https://www.usi.gov.au/your-usi/create-usi
    Ability to understand and communicate in English

Course Particulars

  • Unit of Competency: On successful completion of this course, students will be eligible for a SOT from Safe Work NSW.
  • An SOA will be issued by Skills Network Australia Ltd within 30 days of completion of the course, provided all USI, fees and charges have been finalised. The units of competency listed above are current on the National Register of VET at the time of publication.
  • Delivery Mode: 6 Hours Face to Face at our location *not including break times*
  • This course does not involve any work placement arrangements, does not enable students to obtain a licensed or regulated outcome, and is not associated with any VET FEE-HELP, government funded subsidy or other financial support arrangements. Warali Wali Aboriginal Corporation ICN 9972 and Skills Network cannot guarantee that: a learner will successfully complete the course: or a learner will obtain a particular employment outcome by completing the course.
  • Reassessment procedure If you are unable to demonstrate the required level of knowledge and skills through this assessment task on the first attempt your Trainer may choose to verbally assess you to gather further evidence of your knowledge of specific questions. In this situation your they will make note of this on your assessment task including notes on what answers you provided. Resources Provided: Learning resources will be provided including; training manuals, PowerPoint presentations, You-tube clips etc.
  • Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a SafeWork NSW Statement of Training certificate (SOT) on the day of the course. Valid for 60 days from the course date. White Card issued by SafeWork NSW
